Vintage Linen Table Runner in Yellow Multi
A beautiful, rectangle, vintage table runner with cut work border and botanical embroidery detail at each end, that has been hand dyed using a bundle dyeing technique, where plant materials are placed on the fabric, rolled up and steamed, giving a uniquely varied patterned colouration to the fabric.
Due to the nature of the dyeing technique the result is almost totally unpredictable and produces a fantastic and unique pattern. The plants used for dyeing this item were grown in my garden or foraged from nearby to my home in Cornwall.
Colour Description: A pretty, blurred and speckled pattern, more concentrated towards the narrow ends of the piece, made up of golden yellows and shades of rust.
