British Wool Rib Beanie in Green / Grey Twist
A timeless, unisex ribbed beanie with an adjustable turn up brim. The rib knit structure gives warmth and durability but allows for breathability so it can become an everyday staple through the chillier months.
The yarn used to knit this hat is a twist of two undyed natural shades, an ecru and a light brown which gives a wonderful depth and texture to the naturally dyed colours. The yarn is a high quality British wool sourced from sheep that roam freely on the fells and downs of the British Isles. It has been carefully selected and spun at Shepley yarns, a family owned spinners based in Saddleworth in the Pennines.
The yarn then made the short trip to Carmarthenshire, Wales to another long standing family own and run business, this time a knitters named Corgi who have been designing and making the best socks and knitted accessories since 1892. These hats have been expertly knitted on traditional hand knitting machines.
Finally, the hats made their way to me in Cornwall to be carefully prepared and hand dyed using foraged and home grown plants or waste food stuffs. These dye batches are produced in limited numbers, so each item is completely unique and exclusive to you!
The sourcing and manufacturing route for this item has been carefully considered to ensure that this product is a full end-to-end produced within the British Isles natural product.
